What it's like
A big, rectangular ocean pool on the rocks between North and South Cronulla, with room for laps and for families. Sources call it the North Cronulla or South Cronulla beach pool; it is the southernmost of a small cluster of pools along this stretch of the beach. Waves wash over the outer wall in a swell.
When to go
Calm mornings are best; summer weekends are busy.
Getting there and facilities
The pool is off Gerrale Street, Cronulla, a short walk from Cronulla station and the mall. Toilets, showers, cafes and the beach are all close by.
Good to know
There are no lifeguards at the pool itself; the beaches either side are patrolled in season.
